When the time came for adviser Dan Li’s clients to apply for a home loan, their credit history became a massive obstacle, which meant that the bank rejected their application.

Bluestone BDM Aaron Taylor was able to advise both parties on the best way to present the clients’ financial history and meant that together, they were able to finalise the loan.

What was the customer’s situation?
The client purchased an investment property and sought approval for a home loan. After a credit check, we discovered that he had credit defaults in the last 24 months, therefore the bank was unable to assist.

We contacted our BDM Aaron, who was very helpful. He helped us navigate this situation and we worked together to finalise the loan.

What made this deal unique or challenging?
The issue was the client’s credit check which meant the bank declined the application, less than three weeks before settlement. The default happened two years ago and the client made the payment on the same day he received the Tribunal’s order but the other party refused to remove the default.
