Business Development Manager

Position Title: Business Development Manager

Team: Sales
Reports To: Head of Sales

Your Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual and business sales and growth target KPIs to contribute to company revenue by implementing sales strategies
  • Attract new accounts and maintain existing relationships of allocated brokers to increase broker penetration
  • Review existing customer portfolios and recommending strategies for increasing growth
  • Monitors market and economic conditions and assess impact on business growth strategy
  • Applies sound investment and financial markets and product analysis
  • Ensure Broker’s are onboarded to Bluestone services to the highest standard
  • Undertake day to day broker servicing tasks
  • Prepare sales proposals and tenders, draft and negotiate contracts
  • Liaise with sales support teams in Manila and Sydney to ensure an excellent customer experience
  • Ensure CRM database maintained and updated with client interactions at all times
  • Prepare account management plans
  • Maintain business/financial budgets and reports
  • Provide technical product support and scenario advice to Brokers to improve product knowledge and sales conversion
  • Work with sales leadership and marketing/product teams to develop new products, services or solutions
  • Assist with development and implementation of annual sales plan for brokers
  • Provide input on competitor activity, products and market feedback to improve business practices
  • Increase the awareness and perception of the Bluestone brand in the market by attending appropriate industry events
  • Participate in sales promotion and campaigns
  • Commitment to a culture of policy compliance & high ethical standards
  • Understanding of risk and credit management frameworks
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders

You'll walk in the door with

  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in financial services, preferably with good knowledge of the mortgage market
  • Ideally previous experience seeking out new business opportunities from the mortgage broker market
  • Good understanding of current mortgage legislation
  • Experience implementing strategies to generate sales
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrably strong business development skills
  • Ability to perform to a high standard under pressure
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to work as a team player towards a specific sales goal
  • Self-reliant and results driven
  • Commercial acumen including ability to analyse financials, ie P&L, budgets
